Shahid does some tongue workout: Bollywood Gossips

If you thought Shahid was only working out for his chest and abs, darlings you are SO mistaken. Apparently the Kaminey actor is also doing a set of tongue exercises, every morning! And before you think dirty... lemme tell you the exercise routine does NOT include a woman.

Well, a little birdie tells me that Shahid who won his share of accolades for his lisping act in Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey, is planning to do a similar speech act in his forthcoming film Chance Pe Dance.

After a bit of snoopin' around however, Juicy Mausi has found out that the film does not have a stuttering or lisping Shahid Kapoor. He will not be replacing S with F. It is just a small part of the film where he has to clearly enunciate a difficult Hindi tongue twister which goes like: Kachcha Papad Pakka Papad.

And for that Shahid has been following a regular elocution and pronounciation exercise regime. WOW!

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is down with jaundice and missing from the promotions for her latest outing De Dana Dan. And her co-star Akshay Kumar was prompt in wishing her speedy recovery.

Rumours were rife that the actress was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai Monday night, where she was diagnosed with jaundice and has been advised complete bed rest for a while.

Asked if it were true, Akshay said, "Katrina is down with jaundice... We are missing her and hope she gets well soon."

Apparently De Dana Dan is Akshay and Katrina's sixth outing together after movies like Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye and back to back hits like Namastey London, Welcome and Singh Is Kinng. They also starred recently in underwater thriller Blue.

Akshay, who has had a string of flops this year with Chandni Chowk To China, 8x10 Tasveer, Kambakkht Ishq and Blue, is now keeping his fingers crossed for De Dana Dan.

"Our chemistry does work and we've seen the results in Singh Is Kinng and other films and we expect the same from this film too. This movie should do very well and I expect great returns for my producers. I have great expectations from this one," he said.

Akshay was here at the DT Cinema multiplex in Vasant Kunj to promote the movie with his co-stars Suniel Shetty, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy and producer Sunil A Lulla.

Directed by Priyadarshan, De Dana Dan has also been produced by Ganesh and Girish Jain. It also stars Paresh Rawal in an important role.

Katrina is a Modern Day Marvel: Amitabh Bachchan

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who caught up with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif on the sets of reality show Bigg Boss 3 recently, is all praises for the latter and says she is a "modern day marvel".

"Katrina is a modern day marvel. From a non-Hindi speaking young shy and uncertain lady of Boom, she has grown and grown to become one of the most desired actresses in our fraternity," Amitabh posted on his blog bigb.bigadda.com.

While Amitabh hosts the reality show, Ranbir and Katrina had appeared to promote their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, which released on Friday.

"They (Ranbir and Katrina) were charming and involved and sweet. Ranbir as you all know is related to me. His cousin - Rishi Kapoor's elder sister's son is married to Shweta, my daughter.

"I wished them happiness and success," he said.

In the meanwhile, Amitabh is himself busy charting the marketing plans of his forthcoming movie Paa, being touted as his best work so far. He plays a 13-year-old suffering from progeria, a rare disease, which causes premature ageing.

Radio Hindi Movie Pre-release Review

Radio Movie‘Radio’ is an amazing work of art by director Ishaan Trivedi, all set on presenting a modern day love story. The movie is a unique blend of three different genres: musical, drama and romance and features the Indian music sensation Himesh Reshammiya. Produced by Ravi Agarwal, the movie has Shehnaz Treasurywala, Sonal Seghal, Zakir Hussain and Rajesh Khattar forming the rest of the star cast. Bringing the movie to life is the melodious voice of Himesh Reshammiya (who is also its music director), singing gloriously to the notes of none other than the famous lyricist Subrat Sinha.

The central character in ‘Radio’ is that of Vivan (Himesh Reshammiya), a very successful RJ in a popular radio channel in Mumbai. He has everything in life that a person can ever crave for, except a successful marriage. His marriage to Pooja (Sonal Sehgal) has turned out to be a failure and ended in divorce, the reason cited was lack of compatibility between the two. The reality was that neither of them wanted to part, but the busy schedules and the fast pace of life became a huge barrier in their life and wreaked havoc on their emotional balance. Hence, to avoid any further pain, both of them decided to choose different ways.

The lonely days of Vivan end when Shanaya (Shanaz Treasuryvala) comes into his life. The very thought of Shanaya brings a smile to his face. In fact, she is like a ray of sunshine in Vivan’s unexciting and dull life, although initially, he does not realize this fact. He even discusses Shanaya openly with Pooja, who, being a women, is able to see his love. Pooja then becomes a medium and a channel to make Vivan realize that it is Shanaya with whom he should be spending his life. Will Vivan be able to understand his love for Shanaya? Amitabh Bachchan has a new ally.

He can now count on his bahu Aishwarya Rai’s savvy to help him resurrect ABCL (now AB Corp). She is determined to see that Balki’s Paa is a success and has involved herself in many aspects of promoting the film, including laying down the marketing strategy.

Since she returned from Malshej Ghat after completing her schedule of Mani Ratnam’s Raavana, Paa has become her priority. After all, it stars her beloved Pa and husband Abhishek Bachchan.

A source said, “This is perhaps the first time that Aishwarya is involved in the marketing strategy of a film. Aishwarya wants Paa to be a big box-office success. She is leaving no stone unturned to see that it works with the audience.”

So what exactly is Aishwarya doing for Paa? Our source revealed, “She is taking almost all the marketing decisions related to the film and laying down various strategies on how to promote it. For this, she is spending hours with the creative and the marketing teams.”

The Bachchan men consider her inputs very valuable and most of her suggestions are being implemented in a big way. Director Balki said, “Paa is an AB Corp production. So, I am sure that Aishwarya is involved with the film in different ways.”

When asked to elaborate, Balki said, “Today, a film in not just restricted to promos and trailers in terms of promotion. A lot of events and onground activity also form a part of the promotional strategy. Aishwarya has many wonderful suggestions about the same.”

Paa has an unconventional storyline where Amitabh plays Abhishek’s son. Going all out to make it a commercially viable product, Aishwarya has engineered the holding of certain events. Balki added, “Aishwarya has ideated some thematic events which will add to the excitement of the film. We will be holding those events nearer to the release of the film. Those events will help us reach out to a lot more people. I can’t divulge the theme at this point of time. Paa’s release is still a month away.”
